Faridabad:

A tragic accident has happened in Faridabad, Haryana. Two people died in a Mahindra XUV700 which was submerged in water in an underpass. This vehicle was going from Gurugram to Faridabad on Friday evening. Actually, due to heavy rains, the railway underbridge was filled with water, in which the XUV got stuck. Due to the vehicle being locked, both the people in it could not get out and they died.

The second body was found at 4 am

Police reached the spot as soon as they got the information and the car was pulled out of the water. Police found only one body in the car. While the search for the second body continued throughout the night. The second body was recovered after 4 am. HDFC Bank manager and cashier died in the accident. The deceased Punyashreya Sharma was the manager of the bank’s branch in Sector 31, Gurugram and Viraj Dwivedi was the cashier. This accident happened while returning from Gurugram.

According to sources, there was no signboard outside the underpass, due to which this accident happened. Now the police is investigating this matter.

According to the information, about 10 feet of water had filled up in the railway underbridge. Despite that, the car was pushed into the water. The car got stuck in the middle of the water and water started filling in it. Both of them tried to get out of the car but the car got locked.

It is worth noting that yesterday there was heavy rain in Delhi-NCR. Due to which there was waterlogging at many places. People had to face a lot of trouble due to waterlogging. There was a long traffic jam at many places and people were stuck on the roads for hours. (Reporter – Shubhangi Singh Thakur)
