Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the country’s first ‘Vande Metro’ train along with several other Vande Bharat trains on Monday. The Prime Minister’s other programs include the launch of ‘Re-Invest 2024’ in Gandhinagar and the inauguration and foundation stone laying of several development projects worth more than Rs 8,000 crore in Ahmedabad.

Equipped with modern features
Vande Metro has been designed in such a way that it can run on the tracks at a speed of 200 km per hour. But its speed will be 100 to 150 km. Vande Metro service will be very useful for those who travel daily from villages and small towns to big cities for their jobs. The train has been equipped with modern features to make the journey of people comfortable.

how much is the fare in vande metro
The minimum fare of the country’s first Vande Metro train will be Rs 30 including GST. Season Ticket Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly Season Tickets will be charged at ₹ 7, ₹ 15 and ₹ 20 respectively for a single journey of Vande Metro as per the fare table.

Vande Bharat trains will be operated on various routes including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubli, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Banaras and Durg to Visakhapatnam.

The first 20-coach Vande Bharat train will run between Varanasi and Delhi. Meanwhile, the Central Railway said that the first Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express will leave Kolhapur on September 16 at 16:15 and reach Pune at 22:40 the same day.

According to Western Railway officials, the Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande Metro train will stop at nine stations and cover a distance of 360 km in five hours and 45 minutes at a maximum speed of 110 kmph. Officials had said that it will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 am and reach Ahmedabad Junction at 10:50 am.
