New Delhi:
In today’s era, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasing rapidly. While Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made the work of many people very easy, it is also posing a threat to the jobs of many people. It is estimated that in the coming times, many jobs will be lost due to AI.
Imagine a world where some tasks will be done not by humans but by AI-powered bots and it won’t be long before this happens.
One of the sectors that will see a big change due to AI is call centers. Companies like HomeServe have introduced AI-powered assistants like “Charlie”, which is capable of handling 11,400 calls a day. These bots are not only capable of handling large call volumes, but also support human staff in many tasks. In the future, the impact of AI on jobs will not be limited to call centers only.
A report by Goldman Sachs says that automation could potentially affect about 300 million full-time jobs in America.
A look at the list of jobs that will disappear in the future due to AI:
1. Basic Computer Jobs (Programming, Data Analysis, Web Development)
In the future, if you have to create a website for your business, you will not need special skills for it. Instead, you will simply tell your AI assistant your requirement, and it will create your website in a few minutes! Like ChatGPT, AI is already helping in creating plugins and microservices based on user input. This can also mean that jobs like data analysis will decrease in the coming time and will be eliminated after some time because AI can do this work much faster.
2. Writing and Editing Jobs
If you have used ChatGPT, then you would know how good it is at checking writing and mistakes. Jobs that involve simple writing or correcting mistakes can be done with the help of AI in the future. AI can easily handle those tasks that do not require much research or too much thinking. That is, the people who are doing these jobs today will be replaced by AI in the coming times.
3. Translating Languages
ChatGPT is better at translating languages than other tools. As tech companies improve AI’s ability to understand and use different languages, the need for human translation will decrease.
4.Basic Graphic Design Jobs
AI tools like DALL.E and MidJourney can now create simple graphics and logos without the need for a human designer. This could reduce jobs in the field of graphic design as companies can use AI for basic design.
5. Fast Food Order Taking
Some fast-food outlets already use machines to take orders, and now with the help of AI, many outlets can do the same. For example, Wendy’s plans to use AI bots to take orders from customers, which will reduce the need for people to take orders in the future.
6.Accounting
Tasks like basic accounting and payroll, where you enter numbers and make calculations, can be easily done by AI. This means that the demand for human accountants may decrease in the future.
7. Postal Service Office Jobs
Jobs that are now performed by postal service clerks, such as entering package information, sorting mail, and assisting customers, may be performed by AI in the future. Some believe that these jobs could be automated, meaning that there will be less need for people to perform these tasks.
8. Data Entry
AI systems are already performing tasks such as data entry according to the needs of users. This may reduce the need for people who manually input information in data entry jobs in the coming years.
9. Bank Teller Jobs
The tasks performed by bank tellers, such as verifying customer information and processing transactions, may be performed by AI in the future. Many experts believe that automation will eliminate bank teller jobs in the coming years.
10. Administrative Support
Tasks like scheduling meetings, organizing documents and booking appointments can be done through AI in the future. Companies are already using AI like ChatGPT for administrative tasks. This means that in the future, there will be no need to hire people to do these tasks.
