The stock market has seen a tremendous rise for the second consecutive day on Friday. The Sensex opened at 79,754.85 with a gain of 648.97 points (0.82%) and the Nifty opened at 24,334.85 with a gain of 191.10 points (0.79%). Due to strong global signals, buying is being seen all around in the market.
In early trade at around 9:24 am, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex rose by 839.30 points or 1.06% to reach 79,945.18. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty 50 index also jumped 243.25 points or 1.01% to trade at 24,387.00. M&M, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, TCS, ICICI Bank, Wipro, JSW Steel and Tata Steel are the top gainers.
All sectoral indices are trading in the green. Sector-wise, Auto, IT, PSU Bank, Fin Services, Pharma, FMCG, Realty and Energy and Healthcare indices have gained the most. Auto, Bank, IT, Metal, Oil & Gas, Telecom and Media stocks have registered a gain of one percent each.
Apart from this, positive trend is also being seen in midcap and smallcap stocks along with largecap. BSE Midcap and Smallcap index have also climbed by about one percent each today. Currently, Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 57,057 with a gain of 522 points or 0.92 percent and Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 18,274 with a gain of 187 points or 0.25 percent.
At the same time, due to the rise in the market, the total market cap of BSE listed companies increased by Rs 3.68 lakh crore to Rs 447.97 lakh crore on Friday. It was Rs 444.29 lakh crore on the previous trading day.
