Stock Market Today: The US Federal Reserve announced a 25 basis point cut in interest rates on Wednesday, which created a positive trend in the global markets. Its effect is also being seen continuously on the Indian stock market. Due to positive global signals and rate cut by the US Federal Reserve, both Sensex and Nifty 50 opened at record highs today i.e. on 20 September.
Today, on Friday, the Sensex rose by more than 400 points in the pre-open session and the Nifty rose above the 25,500 level. The Sensex opened at 83,603.04 with a gain of 418.24 points or 0.50% while the Nifty 50 opened at 25,525.95, up 110.15 points or 0.43%.
