Stock Market Updates: Trading started with slight rise in both Sensex and Nifty. Sensex opened at 85,893.84 with a gain of 57.73 points (0.067%) while Nifty opened at 26,248.25 with a gain of 32.20 points (0.12%). However, after a sluggish start, the enthusiasm of the stock market increased and Sensex-Nifty once again reached a new record level today. Sensex made an all time high of 85,966 and Nifty made an all time high of 26,271.
Among the 30 companies listed in the Sensex, shares of Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Sun Pharma, Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Steel were the most profitable. While shares of Power Grid, Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel and Mahindra & Mahindra suffered losses.
Yesterday also there was a rise in the market and both the indices broke their previous records and reached new high levels. Both BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 closed at new record high levels. BSE Sensex closed at 85,836.12 points with a gain of 666.25 points or 0.78%. During trading it also reached an all-time high of 85,930.43 points.
Similarly, Nifty 50 also closed at its all-time high of 26,216.05 points with a gain of 211.90 points or 0.81%. During trading, it had gone up to a record 26,250.90 points with a gain of 246.75 points.
