Heavy rains are falling in different parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai. Due to this, a large number of people had to face trouble on Wednesday in different parts of the state including the country’s financial capital Mumbai. However, according to the forecast of the India Meteorological Department, the people of Maharashtra are not likely to get relief from heavy rain even today. The Meteorological Department has predicted extremely heavy rains in Central Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Gujarat region today. Along with this, very heavy rains are expected in Saurashtra and Kutch, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh along with Assam and Meghalaya.

Landslide due to heavy rain

Air services are also affected due to heavy rains
Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, 14 flights arriving at the airport on Wednesday had to be diverted and landed at other airports. An airport official said that nine of these flights were IndiGo flights, which were not allowed to land in the city due to bad weather.
Other flights that were directed by aviation traffic control to land at other airports include two Vistara flights and one each from Air India, Akasa and Gulf Air. The official said that after the route change, seven planes have been directed to land in Hyderabad, four in Ahmedabad, two in Goa’s Mopa Airport and one in Udaipur.

Woman dies after drowning in drain
