In the month of August, a record 14.96 billion UPI transactions took place. 3,729.1 transactions were processed every second. It has left behind China’s Alipay, America’s PayPal, and Brazil’s PIX. 60 lakh new users are joining UPI every month. More than 40 percent of payments in the country are being made digitally.
