Several prominent leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Tuesday termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day visit to the US as ‘successful’ and said that he has undoubtedly emerged as a strong leader of the world. Prime Minister Modi returned home on Monday after his visit to the US. During his visit, he attended a meeting of the heads of government of the ‘Quad’ member countries and an Indian community event. He addressed the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly.

Modi also held several bilateral meetings during his visit. He held bilateral meetings with his Japanese and Australian counterparts on the sidelines of the Quad summit on Sunday and exchanged views on further deepening bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit and peace, stability and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said in a post on ‘X’ that he is fortunate to have the opportunity to work under the leadership of a statesman like Prime Minister Modi.

Naidu said, “He has strengthened India’s position among nations and has emerged as a prominent global leader, bringing communities and countries together. His address at the United Nations is testimony to the importance world leaders attach to India. It also reflects the importance of the role India is set to play on the global stage in the years to come.”

What did Nitish Kumar say?
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the decisions taken during the Prime Minister’s visit to America to increase investment between the two countries are welcome. He said, “The decisions taken between the two countries will increase investment in cutting edge technological areas and open new avenues of development.” Kumar said that the people of Bihar are excited about the announcements made during the Prime Minister’s visit to America and the new opportunities arising from them.

He said that the warm welcome accorded to the Prime Minister by world leaders and Indian diaspora strengthens his leadership. He said, “This visit will have far-reaching and positive effects. Congratulations to the Prime Minister for this successful visit.”

His hard work is inspiring: HD Kumaraswamy

Union Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy said the wide range of issues raised by the Prime Minister in such a short time was indeed amazing. He said in three days Modi discussed nuclear energy, cervical cancer vaccines, semiconductors, AI, biotechnology, quantum technology, Indo-Pacific economic framework, return of Indian cultural heritage and many other topics.

The former Karnataka chief minister said that apart from all this, they also had strategic discussions on geopolitical matters. He said in a post on ‘X’, “The pictures of his cordial relations with the Indian diaspora were also heart-touching. Thank you Sir, your continuous hard work to achieve the goals of developed India is extremely inspiring.”

India’s journey of progress will get strength: Eknath Shinde

Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Eknath Shinde said Modi’s US visit has once again shown why he is a global statesman and a “trendsetter”. “In a short visit, he has been able to cover a wide range of areas, which will strengthen India’s journey of progress,” he said on X.

Shinde said that as an Indian, it feels very proud to see the Prime Minister of India being welcomed especially by US President Joe Biden at his private residence. He said, “I welcome the interaction with the leaders of the technology and industry sector. Maharashtra has strong contacts with many of these people and the Prime Minister’s efforts to attract investment will naturally benefit our state.”

Shinde said that he is particularly happy that the Prime Minister ensured the return of about 300 ancient artifacts from the US. He said, “It is important that a leader stays connected to his cultural roots and this is what Prime Minister Modi is doing.

Modi’s US visit ‘unique’ : Jitan Ram Manjhi

Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) patron Jitan Ram Manjhi described Modi’s US visit as ‘unique’ and said that it will prove to be fruitful for the progress of the nation. He said that apart from the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Modi’s meeting with Vietnam President To Lam and discussions on ways to enhance relations between the two countries and increase cooperation in areas like connectivity, trade and culture will benefit the country’s trade.

He said that the world will remember the Prime Minister’s address at the United Nations’ “Summit of the Future”. He said, “Seeing the world’s love for Modi ji during his visit to America, every Indian is feeling proud. That is why the whole world is saying that Modi is the pride of India.”
