People are facing many kinds of problems
Many people are not getting the old documents, while many say that the division was done verbally. Many people say that they have been visiting government offices for years regarding the land issue, so how can this work be done so quickly. Many people say that the government is short of employees for this survey. Let us tell you that the Khatian being used in Bihar is of 1910. At many places, Khatian of 1970 and 1980 is being used.
Why was there a need for land survey
In many places in Bihar, the Khatian that is still being used is made up to the year 1910, while in many places, the Khatian of 1970 and 1980 is also being used. When the Khatian becomes old, there are many claimants to that land. This happens because families get divided into many parts. Now if the Khatian is not in their name, then they start facing problems and disputes start regarding the land.
Preparations to make records available online
The Bihar government is now preparing to make all records related to land available online. Before this survey, the current and real owner of the land will be identified and after that all the information related to that land will be updated and uploaded on the Bihar government’s site. After the completion of the survey, now anyone will be able to see the record of their land online.
