Sid was browsing photos when he fell in love with a calf named Krishna: Krishna was a pied (red and white) calf. He looked very cute. His horns hung down. Sid immediately ordered to buy this wonderful bull. It was 1960 when the Wonderbull arrived in Brazil from India.

Celso Gracia Sid was very fond of Krishna. He built a statue in the memory of Krishna. About 80 percent of the cows in Brazil have the blood of a Gujarati Gir bull named Krishna.

According to Cid’s grandson Guilherme Sachetim, Krishna is a turning point in the history of livestock farming in Brazil. “He renewed the bloodline of the national dairy cattle at a time when inbreeding was holding back productivity,” he said.
