iQoo has shared a poster on China’s messaging platform Weibo that the Z9 Turbo+ will be launched in China on September 24. It has a curved display and a hole-punch cutout in the center. It has a rectangular camera module at the rear. The 6.7-inch display of this smartphone will support 1.5K resolution. The gaming-focused Z9 Turbo+ will offer up to 72 fps (frames per second) when playing Open World Mobile Games. It will be powered by a 6,400 mAh battery. This smartphone will have a 6K VC liquid cooling system for thermal management. Pre-orders for the Z9 Turbo+ have started.
The camera specifications of this smartphone have not been revealed. Earlier, some leaks had said that it could have a dual rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary camera. Apart from this, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor can be provided. It may have a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
In the first half of the current year, shipments of 5G smartphones in the country have increased by 60 percent compared to the same quarter last year. Market research firm Counterpoint’s report states that international shipments of 5G smartphones have increased by 20 percent year-on-year in the first half. With this, the share of 5G devices in all shipments of smartphones has increased to more than 50 percent. Customers in emerging markets are looking at 5G smartphones as an upgrade option. China ranks first with about 32 percent share in international shipments of 5G smartphones. India has a share of about 13 percent after this. American devices maker Apple ranks first with more than 25 percent share in international shipments of these smartphones. The company’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series have received good response from customers.
