Explosion in Kolkata, one person injured; Bomb disposal squad reached the spot. According to news agency ANI, at around 13.45 pm, information was received that an explosion took place at the ex-ing of Blochman St and SN Banerjee Road and one person/garbage picker was injured. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. At present, the investigation of this case is going on.

According to the information, the police is investigating this matter thoroughly. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team was called on the spot. Kolkata Police said that currently the surrounding areas are being thoroughly searched.

The eyewitness told the whole story

An eyewitness present at the spot said, “We were standing nearby when the explosion occurred… We immediately ran to the spot and saw that a garbage picker was lying nearby. The person has suffered an injury on his right wrist… The sound of the explosion was very loud… Police immediately reached here and took the injured to the hospital… Traffic was blocked… No one else was injured.”
