Corruption allegations pain my soul, the coming elections are my litmus test: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi:

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday that the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections are not an ordinary election, this election is Arvind Kejriwal’s litmus test. Addressing the people of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said that if you think Arvind Kejriwal is honest, then vote for us. If you think Kejriwal is dishonest, then do not vote for me at all.

Arvind Kejriwal said on the allegations against him, “Leaders are not affected by such allegations, but I am not a leader, it affects me. When these BJP people call me a thief, corrupt, when they abuse me, it affects me. Today I am very sad. My soul is suffering. I am very sad from within and that is why I resigned, I have earned only respect, only honesty in my life. I do not have any money. Today I do not even have a house of my own to live in Delhi.”

Arvind Kejriwal said that after seeing the work of our government, the central government felt that if they want to win against them, they should defame them. For this, a conspiracy was hatched to prove Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and the entire Aam Aadmi Party dishonest. For this, we were put in jail.

He further said that I resigned after coming out of jail. You must be wondering why I resigned after coming out of jail. I resigned because I did not come to do all this. I did not come to do corruption. I do not have greed for power or the CM’s chair. I did not come to earn money. We came for the country, for Mother India, to change the politics of the country.

Arvind Kejriwal showed his election symbol ‘broom’ while speaking from the stage at Jantar Mantar on Sunday. He said that this broom is not only the election symbol of Aam Aadmi Party, but this broom is a symbol of faith. When a person goes to vote and presses the broom button, he first takes the name of God after closing his eyes. When he presses the broom button, he thinks in his mind that he is pressing the button of honesty. While pressing the broom button during elections, the voter thinks that he is pressing the button to form an honest government.
