Rahul Gandhi posted on ‘X’, “My brothers and sisters of Jammu and Kashmir, today the first phase of voting is being held in the state. For the first time in the history of the country, the status of a state has been taken away and it has been made a union territory. This is a violation of the constitutional rights of all of you, an insult to Jammu and Kashmir.” He said, “Your every vote for the India alliance will return your rights, bring employment, make women strong, bring you out of the ‘era of injustice’ and make Jammu and Kashmir prosperous again.

Rahul Gandhi called upon the people, “Today, come out of your homes in large numbers and exercise your democratic right and vote for the ‘India’ alliance.” Elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir in three phases. Voting for 24 seats is being held on Wednesday in the first phase. After this, voting for 26 seats will be held in the second phase on September 25. Voting for 40 seats in the third phase will be held on October 1, while the counting of votes will be done on October 8.
