To boost the nation’s maritime surveillance functionality, the second Drishti-10 Starliner surveillance drone has been handed over to the Indian Navy by Adani Protection and Aerospace. The Drishti 10 Starliner drone or UAV, manufactured at Adani Protection and Aerospace, a unit of the Hyderabad-based Adani Group, is a high-tech intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) platform. It has a sustainment functionality of 36 hours and a payload capability of 450 kg.
Sources associated to this matter say that the inclusion of the second UAV within the maritime operations of the Navy was began in Porbandar, Gujarat. It’s a model of Israel’s Hermes 900 medium-altitude UAV able to sustaining long-duration operations.
Adani Protection had earlier given Drishti-10 Starliner drone to the Indian Military in June this 12 months. The Military will deploy it at its Bhatinda base in Punjab, from the place it may be used to regulate the western border with Pakistan.
