A farmer who died 20 years ago took a loan 2 years ago!

The case is of Belatal branch of Indian Bank. Here, the brokers of the bank absconded after taking a loan of Rs 4 lakh 30 thousand from the Kisan Credit Card by using Aadhar card photo of some other name in place of the farmer who died 20 years ago. The matter came to light when Kapura, a resident of Syawan village, got a copy of the Khatauni to get his land inherited, in which the land was mortgaged in the name of his grandfather Mulua due to a loan of Rs 4 lakh 30 thousand from Kisan Credit Card in the year 2022. He was shocked to see this. Kapura told that grandfather Mulua had died 20 years ago, then how can he take a loan? The family members, who have been visiting the bank for several days, are surprised by the mortgage of the land without any reason and the disappearance of the money taken from the Kisan Credit Card in the name of the deceased grandfather.

This is how fraud is being done using Kisan Credit Card

Every day, many cases of fraud related to loans and Kisan Credit Cards keep coming up in rural areas. But the way Rs 4 lakh 30 thousand were fraudulently withdrawn in the name of deceased farmer Mulua of Syawan village, it is clear that a big racket of brokers is operating in the bank. This racket is cheating the bank and the deceased farmer by putting someone else’s photo and Aadhar card on the papers of the deceased farmer and withdrawing money in his name.

The bank gave clarification, told whose mistake it was

When Belatal bank manager Rajeshwar Verma took out Mulua’s file on the complaint of the farmer’s grandson, he was stunned to see the file, because instead of Mulua’s, there was a photo of some other person, who looked about 35 years old. The fraudsters not only made fake Aadhar cards in the name of farmer Mulua, but also got Mulua’s village address written in it and got KCC made and grabbed the money. The bank manager said that in this case it is the mistake of the field officer that while giving a loan, the local verification of the person should be done and the information should be properly checked. He said that he went to the village and enquired about the person whose photo was there, but that person could not be identified. Information about this case has been given to the higher officials of the bank.

On this matter, Indian Bank’s LDM Saroj Kumar said that the matter has come to his notice through the media and strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty after investigating the matter.
