Four members of a family died tragically while trying to save their cow in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal on Friday. Police said that all four members of the family died due to electric shock. This incident happened on Friday evening in Takimari.

Police said that the family members who lost their lives in this accident have been identified as 60-year-old Paresh Das, his wife Deepali, 30-year-old son Mithun and two-year-old grandson Suman.

Mithun got electrocuted while saving a cow

According to the information, Mithun was taking the cow back from the field. At the same time, the cow came in contact with the electric wire submerged in the water accumulated outside the shed. Mithun tried to save the cow and during this he got electrocuted.

Mithun’s wife was not at home at the time of the accident

Police said that after hearing Mithun’s scream, Paresh and Deepali ran to help him and both got electrocuted. Police said that Suman was with Deepali and he also died on the spot.

He told that Mithun’s wife was not at home at the time of the accident. He told that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
