Stock Market Today: Trading in the stock market has started on the green mark today. Sensex has opened above 81,000 and Nifty above 24,800 level. However, the market continues to fluctuate today. At 9:21 am, Sensex was at 80,981 with a decline of 75 points or 0.09 percent and Nifty was at 24,800 with a slight decline of 11 points or 0.04 percent.
In early trade around 9:25 am, the major benchmark index BSE Sensex is trading at 81,162.89 with a gain of 109.70 points i.e. 0.14%. At the same time, Nifty 50 is also trading at 24,840.80 with a gain of 29.30 points i.e. 0.12%.
Midcap and smallcap are in a bullish trend compared to largecap. Nifty Midcap 100 index is at 58,976 with a gain of 134 points or 0.23 percent and Nifty Smallcap 100 index is at 19,139 with a gain of 39 points or 0.21 percent.
Sector-wise, Auto, PSU Bank, Pharma, Realty and Energy indices are the top gainers. Media and IT indices are down.
Among the shares listed on the Sensex, Tata Motors, Reliance, HUL, Sun Pharma, Power Grid, M&M, Bajaj Finserv, HCL Tech, ICICI Bank, Maruti Suzuki and Bharti Airtel are the top gainers. Infosys, Titan, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, NTPC, Asian Paints and ITC are the top losers. Most of the major Asian markets are trading with gains.
