PM Modi will start election campaign in Jammu today, will also roar in Kurukshetra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections today. PM Modi will address election rallies in Jammu in support of BJP candidates. The Prime Minister will address the people in Doda district at 11 am. Security arrangements have been tightened for the PM’s rally. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign for the first time on September 14 for the Haryana assembly elections. PM will address a public meeting in Kurukshetra today.

PM Modi will hold a rally in Doda district, which will be the first rally of any PM in the last four decades. The rally will be held at Doda Sports Stadium. PM Modi will address the public for the victory of BJP candidates in 8 assembly constituencies of Chenab.

BJP is contesting alone in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The party’s Jammu and Kashmir president Ravinder Raina said that BJP can support independent MLAs in some constituencies of the valley considering the ground situation.

Congress and National Conference (NC) have formed an alliance for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. National Conference is contesting on 52 seats and Congress on 31 seats. Apart from this, they have left one seat each for CPI (M) and Panthers Party.

At the same time, elections are to be held in three phases for 90 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir. There are 47 seats in the valley and 43 seats in Jammu division. A total of nine seats are reserved for ST and seven seats for SC. Voting in Haryana will be held on October 5 while counting of votes will be held on October 8. BJP is trying to return to power for the third consecutive time.
